One of the more intriguing storylines heading into the free agency will be what Kyle Lowry will do on the open market.
Despite it being less than a month away, Lowry has already met with the Toronto Raptors regarding his future with the team, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.
Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry, soon to be a free agent, had a meeting with backcourt partner DeMar DeRozan and Raptors coach Dwane Casey this week in the Bay Area, league sources tell ESPN.
The Raptors clearly hold some concern with the possibility that Lowry could leave the team in free agency as he may become one of the most sought out players.

The 31-year-old has established himself as one of the top point guards in the Eastern Conference coming off a highly productive season where he averaged career highs with 22.4 points on a 46.4 percent shooting from the field along with 7.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Lowry has been a huge part of turning Toronto into a perennial playoff team, but they have struggled to get past the Cleveland Cavaliers in each of the last two years. This includes being on the receiving end of a convincing four-game sweep in the Eastern Conference semifinals last month.
The Raptors will be able to offer Lowry a max contract north of $200 million over five years. However, the organization may have some pause with that scenario as the veteran guard would be making more than $40 million in his mid-30s. Meanwhile, other teams can offer him a four-year deal worth $152 million.
There are plenty of wrinkles to this situation that may unfold with a few surprises this upcoming offseason.
