After scoring 35 points in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday, Toronto Raptors superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard pretty much cemented himself as the greatest player to play for the franchise in the last decade, and this is only his first season with the team.

Leonard has been nothing short of spectacular in the 2019 playoffs for the Raptors. The three-time All-Star and two-time Defensive Player of the Year is averaging 31.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 51.2 percent from the field, 41.1 percent from beyond the arc and 88.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Leonard looked more explosive in Game 5, but it's clear he's still dealing with some pain in his left leg. The NBA Finals start on May 30. The Raptors have to win Game 6 at home so they can give Leonard some time off. Also, winning Game 7 in Milwaukee would be really tough to do.

After only playing in nine games last season with the San Antonio Spurs due to a lingering quadriceps injury, everyone wanted to know what version of Leonard we were going to see this season with the Raptors. Leonard has shown the NBA world he is still one of the best players on the planet.
