Even though DeMar DeRozan has spent the last few seasons as a member of the San Antonio Spurs, it is no secret that he continues to keep an eye out on Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet and the Toronto Raptors.
With DeRozan and Lowry forming quite the friendship over the years, the Spurs shooting guard couldn't help but poke a little fun at his former Raptors teammate after VanVleet absolutely torched the Orlando Magic on Tuesday evening.
FVV scored a single-game franchise record 54 points against the Magic, as the Raptors rolled to a 123-108 victory on the road.
Congrats to my brotha Freddy V! Kyle old ass couldn’t do it. Glad you did champ! Been telling you!

Fred VanVleet rewrote the history books with his massive performance, as he broke not one but two notable records against the Magic.
VanVleet's layup with just under four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter gave him 54 points, which allowed him to surpass DeMar DeRozan's previous Raptors record of 52 points. Additionally, FVV now holds the NBA record for the most points in a single game by an undrafted player, with the legendary Moses Malone previously claiming such a mark thanks to a 53-point performance.
Adding to his memorable performance against the lowly Magic, VanVleet also sank a whopping 11 3-pointers. While doing so in just three quarters, he unfortunately didn't hit another shot from behind the arc to tie the Raptors' single-game franchise record in such a category–a record still held by Donyell Marshall.
