On Tuesday afternoon, Toronto Raptors star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan was informed by the NBA that he would take another hit to his wallet. According to a tweet from Brian Mahoney of The Associated Press, the league has fined DeRozan $15,000 for comments he made about the officiating following the Raptors' 127-125 loss on Saturday to the Golden State Warriors.

The Raptors were at the wrong end of some pretty controversial calls and non-calls down the stretch against the Warriors, which understandably made DeRozan quite frustrated after the hard-fought contest. Toronto, who once trailed by as many as a whopping 27 points to Golden State at halftime, stormed all the way back in the second half, but had their fierce rally come up just short.

The comments DeRozan made of the officials were tweeted out by members of the media, including Raptors beat reporter Josh Lewenberg of TSN:

“I mean, it's frustrating being out there feeling like you playing five on eight. It's just what it feel like. Period. Some of them calls was terrible. Period,” DeRozan said after Saturday's game against the Warriors.

His remarks about the officiating in Toronto's game against Golden State came later in the same week he was also fined by the league $25,000 for an altercation he had with Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic after the Raptors' close 90-89 loss at Air Canada Centre.

The Raptors lost another close game 117-111 on Monday night to the Philadelphia 76ers, as Toronto has now dropped three of its last four games. They will look to get back on track Wednesday night when the Raptors host the Detroit Pistons.
