This is absolutely huge for the Raptors because without him on the court, they don't exactly have a true point guard who can create his own shot and facilitate at a high level. VanVleet is in the midst of a very solid campaign as well, averaging 21.4 points, 6.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per night while shooting almost 40% from deep. His brilliance earned FVV his very first All-Star nod last month in Cleveland.

The Raptors' ball movement is suffering badly right now. They've averaged just 17 dimes across the last three outings. That's a prime example of how much VanVleet is missed because of his ability to get others involved, aside from consistently getting buckets on his own.

VanVleet's return couldn't come at a more crucial time, either. Toronto needs to turn things around in order to fend off the Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets, who are just a couple of games back of the seventh-place Raptors. There's a tough spell ahead for this team as well, with the likes of the Suns, Nuggets, Lakers, and 76ers on the schedule in the next couple of weeks.
