Toronto Raptors sharpshooter Danny Green has been receiving plenty of criticism for his shooting struggles in their series against the Philadelphia 76ers. However, longtime teammate Kawhi Leonard backed him up, noting he's confident that Green will get over his slump.

Leonard acknowledges that all players have gone thru struggles in the regular season. People are criticizing Green more now in the playoffs since the stakes are higher. But Leonard, who has been teammates with Green since entering the NBA in 2010, is confident that the 31-year-old will get over the hump.

“He's been here before and we've all been there during the season. It's just magnified now because it's playoffs. Most of the time he does hit it. We're confident (in him),” Leonard said, per Per Josh Lewenberg of The Sports Network.

In Game 2, Green shot just 1-of-6 from downtown and 1-of-8 from the field. His biggest miss was a wide-open 3-pointer with less than 20 seconds left which could've sent the game to overtime.

For the series, Danny Green is just shooting 26.3 percent from the field and 20.9 percent from behind the arc. This is uncharacteristic for Green who shot 46.5 percent from the field and 45.5 from the 3-point country in the regular season.

But given Green's significant playoff experience, Raptors fans need not fret. Sooner or later, the sharpshooting swingman will revert back to his normal self. Hopefully, though, it won't be too late.
