Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard has always been known for his calm, quiet demeanor, and his ability to not let anything affect him is why he is so terrific in clutch situations.

Well, Kyle Lowry says that Leonard's nature has rubbed off on him, and he also credits head coach Nick Nurse and some of the other veterans on the team for instilling a stoic attitude in himself.

“I would be lying to you if I said it didn't,” said Lowry when asked if Leonard's personality has influenced him, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports. “And also Marc (Gasol) and Danny (Green) and Nick. I think Nick honestly yelled at us twice the whole year. That's legit: twice the whole year. That's a long season to only yell at a team twice.”

Staying calm under pressure is not something to which the Raptors are accustomed.

For years, Toronto was criticized by fans and the media for wilting under pressure, with both Lowry and former Raptor DeMar DeRozan frequently laying eggs in big playoff games. But now, with Leonard and some other experienced guys on the roster, the Raptors have clearly flipped the script and are an entirely different team from years past.

Lowry didn't shoot well in Game 1 of the finals, finishing with just seven points, nine assists and six rebounds while missing seven of his nine shots, but the Raptors still emerged with a 118-109 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Toronto will have a chance to take a 2-0 series lead on Sunday night.
