Below is the record-setting assist. From the looks of it, Lowry was well-aware that of the record. After Terrence Davis completed the play, Lowry pumped his fist and looked at the bench with a smile.

Lowry, the 24th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, was traded to the Raptors in the summer of 2012. He was a mid-tier guard back then, but he developed into a reliable floor general since joining Toronto and forming a formidable partnership with fellow All-Star DeMar DeRozan.

Together with DeRozan, they transformed the Raptors into a perennial playoff team and into one of the elite teams in the league.
However, Lowry and Toronto's playoff campaigns were met by a surging LeBron James. Year in and year out, they were booted out by James' team — breaking the hearts of Canadian basketball fans.
Nonetheless, Lowry finally got his ticket to the NBA Finals last year with the help of Kawhi Leonard. While Lowry's scoring dwindled, he was nevertheless the lead playmaker for the Raptors. Last season, he averaged a career-high 8.7 assists per game.
When Kawhi Leonard left, critics felt that the Raptors were headed to another direction. But lo and behold, they currently sport a 33-14 record for second in the Eastern Conference standings. The 33-year-old Kyle Lowry is still well within his prime, ready to be Toronto's floor leader and general.
