It was indeed a crazy season for Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors after their team went all the way to win their first NBA title in franchise history. Recently, the 33-year-old veteran opened up about the roller coaster experience, and described it as exactly that — crazy.

“It’s crazy,” Lowry said of the feeling that the championship gave him, via Michael Lee of The Athletic. “You want to describe it but you don’t want to use the wrong adjectives. You want to use the right things, but it’s just pure emotions of joy.”

However, given the extremely competitive nature of the 6-foot-1 point guard, Lowry admitted that after getting a taste of ultimate success, he has now become somewhat obsessed with keeping himself and his team at the very top.

“I’m never satisfied with where I am in my life, I always want to be able to find a way to be better. It’s definitely satisfying. It’s unbelievable. But it’s not the end. I want to be able to do this again,” Kyle Lowry said. “When I won it, all I could think about was winning another one. You don’t ever want to have that feeling of not winning it. I think that’s what other champions will tell you. That feeling is undefeated. You can’t match that feeling. This is what we strive for.”

In truth, this is going to be a gargantuan task for Lowry and the Raptors with Kawhi Leonard no longer in the picture. Toronto is still expected to remain competitive in the coming campaign, but they are by no means title favorites, so in this respect, Lowry will need to keep his expectations in check.
