Having broken through to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history, Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors are in dream land right now. However, they are anything but finished, as Lowry himself reiterated that for the Raptors, the ultimate goal remains to be going all the way to win the NBA title.

“We want to win more. That’s the real goal. This is a steppingstone,” Lowry said, via Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Make no mistake about it. Lowry and the Raptors are ecstatic about reaching the pinnacle of the NBA. They have never gone this far ever before, and having the opportunity to play in the grandest stage of the sport is definitely an experience that they shall cherish.

Lowry reflected on what type of emotions he had as his Raptors eliminated the league-best Milwaukee Bucks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals to historically book a place in the Finals.

“When we won and I grabbed my kids, that was my moment of reflection,” Lowry told The Undefeated after the Raptors’ 100-94 deciding win over the Milwaukee Bucks on May 25. “And it was a good moment. I didn’t cry.”

Nonetheless, despite all the celebrations, Lowry and company also understand that they do have a fighting chance against the heavily-favored Golden State Warriors. It's not going to be an easy task, but with home court advantage working in their favor, Toronto might just be able to pull off one of the biggest upsets in NBA Finals history.
