NBA players and opposing fans continue to figure in boorish confrontations this season.
With most athletes losing their cool over these types of situations, Toronto Raptors superstar Kyle Lowry carried himself with class when faced with the same conundrum on Thursday.
The 33-year-old point guard admitted that he was shocked when a rowdy Cleveland Cavaliers fan shoved him. The incident happened when when he dove to the stands for a loose ball at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Instead of confronting his attacker, Lowry simply got back to the ball game and made sure his team got the victory.
He described the incident shortly after the defending champions claimed a 115-109 road win, per The Athletic's Eric Koreen.
Lowry said he was shoved when he dove into crowd on play that led to Ibaka’s 3. Said he couldn’t react because game was going on, and was glad he kept his cool, and hopes he can do so again should it happen again. Said that type of fan shouldn’t be in the arena.

Cooler heads did prevail. Lowry avoided getting tossed out the ball game and helped his team get the W by notching 23 points, five rebounds, and five assists in 37 minutes.
This is not the first time Lowry was pushed while trying to save a possession. A fan sitting courtside at the Oracle Arena was ejected last year for shoving the six-foot guard in Game 3 of the 2019 NBA Finals.
Kyle Lowry's leadership and professionalism continue to be acknowledged by the league. He was named an All-Star for the sixth consecutive season. He is averaging 19.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 7.3 steals and 1.3 steals in his eighth year in Toronto. Lowry is knocking down 41.3 percent of his shots from the field and 34.4 percent from downtown.
Atlanta Hawks swingman Vince Carter earlier claimed that Lowry is the best Raptor in franchise history. Carter is considered by some to be the best Raptor in franchise history.
