You can always count on Toronto Raptors center Marc Gasol to deliver some unique quotes.
Gasol is in his 11th year in the NBA. The three-time All-Star and former Defensive Player of the Year has seen it all and knows it takes a full team to win consistently in the NBA.
That's why Gasol described the Raptors team as a “whole car” before they take on the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Gasol on Raptors as a team: "We have a tremendous talent in Kawhi, Kyle … (but) what’s the most important piece on a car? The whole car. The small things break and your car doesn’t run so we need everyone to be ready because you never know when you’re going to need someone."

Gasol is 100 percent correct. The Raptors are going to go as far as small forward Kawhi Leonard and point guard Kyle Lowry can take them, but the two All-Stars can't do it by themselves.
The reason Toronto is in the Finals and up 2-1 is because Gasol, swingman Pascal Siakam, backup point guard Fred VanVleet, big man Serge Ibaka and shooting guard Danny Green have all stepped up at various moments in the playoffs.
Gasol and Siakam were tremendous in Games 1 and 3, Green snapped out of his shooting slump in Game 3, and VanVleet has been on fire ever since his son was born in the Eastern Conference Finals.
If the greatest player in NBA history, Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, couldn't win his first title without the help of Scottie Pippen and Co., then Leonard is going to need his Raptors teammates to continue to play at a high level for Toronto to capture its first championship in franchise history.
