The Toronto Raptors are on the cusp of winning their first ever NBA championship, and superstar Kawhi Leonard is standing front and center of their historic run this year.
The silent assassin has done things the right way for Toronto this season and his teammates have followed suit of their superstar's leadership. An anonymous NBA assistant coach, in fact, attests that winning is the only thing that concerns Leonard, per Marc Berman of The New York Post.
“[Leonard] is so willing to do whatever it takes,’’ one NBA assistant coach told The Post. “He just cares about winning. His preference is to keep the ball in some of those situations, but he’s not stubborn.”
Kawhi Leonard certainly isn't the kind of person who cares about the glitz and the glamour of the NBA. The often under-the-radar forward does not seem to be too concerned about outside story-lines and external narratives. He just goes about his business on the court and in the moment and lets his game do the talking.

Not only is he leading the Raptors' offensive attack, he is also responsible for anchoring their defense. His teammates have responded and have given him enough help to put Golden State on the brink of elimination.
The 28-year old forward is averaging 30.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.0 steals, a block, and is shooting 45 percent from the field through the first four games of the series. Should he and the Raptors close the deal on Tuesday, Leonard will certainly etch his name as the best player in the world.
