The holiday season is in full swing, and even athletes aren’t immune to the charm of getting in tune with it. The Toronto Raptors recently shared a video of Kyle Lowry and Matt Thomas making a guest appearance at a ballet performance of “The Nutcracker,” and it went about as hilariously as one would expect:
Lowry and Thomas both joined the National Ballet of Canada, where they dressed up in full costume to join the crew on stage during the performance. While they didn’t quite have the dance moves down, it seemed as if the crowd was into it nonetheless, cheering along when both players made their debut on stage. After the performance, both Lowry and Thomas credited “in-game adjustments” to their success on the stage, even if it wasn't the most choreographed.

On the basketball court where they're more comfortable, the Raptors find themselves sitting at 19-8, good for the fourth-best record in the Eastern Conference. After losing superstar Kawhi Leonard during the offseason, the Raptors have not missed a beat, as they continue to get incredible contributions from the likes of Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, and Lowry himself.
Unfortunately, Toronto is currently dealing with a run of bad injury luck. Siakam, Marc Gasol and Norman Powell are all ailing and will miss some time. Thomas is also on the mend as he recovers from a finger injury.
This means Lowry's leadership and stellar play will be needed more than ever in Toronto. Expect him to be up to the task.
