The Indiana Pacers were involved in another controversial ending to a game, and this one also didn't go their way. With just seconds remaining in their game against the Toronto Raptors and the Pacers trailing by three, 99-96, Indiana got the ball to forward Bojan Bogdanovic for what would've been a game-tying three-pointer. As Bogdanovic went up, OG Anunoby seemed to have clipped his arm but got away with a foul.

Referees are known to swallow the whistle with the game on the line, especially in regards to jump shooters. The Pacers know this all too well. The NBA admitted that in Indiana's recent loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers there were two missed calls that may have altered the outcome of the game, including a missed foul call on Victor Oladipo's driving lay-up attempt on their final possession.

This loss may have a specific meaning later in the season. The Raptors entered the game with a 2.5-game lead over the Pacers in the Eastern Conference standings, and their win pushes that lead to 3.5 games. Oladipo led the way for Indiana with 20 points, while center Myles Turner had 10 points and 14 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard scored 28 points with 10 rebounds, six assists, and four steals for the Raptors.

Toronto was down by 10 points going into the fourth quarter and they overcame a tough shooting night by guard Fred VanFleet, who was just 4-for-17 from the field and 3-for-11 on three-pointers.
