The dog days of summer can even affect NBA reporters. At Summer League in Las Vegas on Friday, a Toronto Raptors reporter mixed up Stanley Johnson and Patrick McCaw while speaking to Johnson.

The Raptors signed Stanley Johnson to a two-year, $7.42 million contract. The guard, who has yet to reach his potential in the NBA, wishes he had three rings like Patrick McCaw, who won two titles with the Golden State Warriors and got his third with the Raptors this past season.
Johnson was the eighth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. Detroit traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans this past season. The 23-year-old has career averages of 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 37.4 percent from the field, 29.3 percent from beyond the arc and 76.4 percent from the free-throw line in 285 NBA games. The Raptors are hoping Johnson can jump-start his career in Toronto.
McCaw has three championships in three seasons. He's been lucky to be on the Warriors and Raptors at the right time. The St. Louis native only has career averages of 3.7 points. However, and it's crazy to say this, McCaw has the same amount of rings as Warriors star Stephen Curry and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
