Though he's been dealing with a sore back, Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry is going to play in Monday night's game against the Denver Nuggets, according to a report from Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports.

Lowry, who was originally listed as questionable for Monday night's meeting with the Nuggets, missed Saturday's road game against the Cleveland Cavaliers with back soreness. Backup point guard Fred Van Vleet picked up most of the point guard minutes in Lowry's absence.
When asked how his back is feeling, Lowry told The Athletic's Eric Koreen, “It's great. I'm alive. Funny, same way I woke up this morning.”

Lowry, now 32-years-old, has made 23 appearances with the Raptors this season (all starts), averaging 15.4 points per game on 45.4 percent shooting from the field (35.8 percent from beyond the arc), 10.3 assists (career-high), 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 34.1 minutes per outing (per Basketball Reference).
His 10.3 assists per game are currently leading the NBA and, per ESPN, “Lowry has topped the team outright in assists in 21 consecutive games that he has played. The franchise record is 22 by Damon Stoudamire in 22 Jan. 11 — Feb. 29, 1996.”
The Raptors (20-4 and 1st in the Atlantic Division standings) are off to a great start to this season. In fact, Toronto is currently riding the wave of a season-best eight-game winning streak following Saturday's 106-95 victory in Cleveland. The Nuggets (15-7 and 1st in the Northwest Division), on the other hand, have won five straight.
Monday night's Raptors- Nuggets game is scheduled to tip inside Scotiabank Arena at 7:30 p.m. EST.
