According to a post today from Reddit user FoFoAndFo, the Jazz rookie joined elite company recently by being only one of four players since 1992 to score 25 or more points in at least 21 of his first 60 games in the NBA.

“Embiid hit for 25 Nine times in 31 games last year and 12 times in his first 29 games this year. Blake (Griffin) made it to 20 but fell one short. (Tim) Duncan was consistent with an average of 21 points and a First-Team All-NBA bid as a rookie but only scored 25 pts 14 times in the first 60 games,” FoFoAndFlo said in a detailed post about Mitchell and Embiid.

This is extremely impressive for both Donovan Mitchell and Joel Embiid, even though the Sixers' All-Star center has struggled in the past with injury woes. Despite that, Embiid and the Sixers continue to prove that their young core has all of the talent and cap space necessary to be a force in the Eastern Conference for years.
