Utah Jazz vet Kyle Korver has earned a reputation as one of the 3-point shooters in NBA history. The 16-year veteran has made 2,304 triples, good for fourth on the all-time list. And while many remember Korver as mostly a role player, there was actually a time in his career when he became an All-Star.

Korver was part of the 2015 Eastern Conference All-Stars, when he was playing for the Atlanta Hawks. Ahead of tonight's matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers, he shared some thoughts about that moment in an interview with Jazz beat reporter Eric Walden.

“That had never even been on my radar. I don’t really consider myself that level of player. … It was an unbelievable experience for me — another thing in my career that I never could have imagined.”

Korver was one of four Hawks players selected in the All-Star team that year, together with Al Horford, Paul Millsap, and Jeff Teague. They led Atlanta to a 60-22 record, and they were the best team in the Eastern Conference.

They Hawks seemed to be on their way to the NBA Finals until they met the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs, where their season came to a heartbreaking end as the Cavs swept them in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Still, Korver deserved to be an All-Star that year, as he averaged 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 48 percent from the field including 49 percent from beyond the arc. He was instrumental in the Hawks' sensational season, and although it didn't ended up the way it did, there was no denying that Korver had a great 2014-15 season.

He's a career 43 percent 3-point shooter.
