It's safe to say Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley is excited about playing with center Rudy Gobert.
Conley says he has thrown more lob passes in the first two days of practice in Utah than he’s thrown in a long time.

Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert figure to be a lethal pick-and-roll duo for the Jazz. Conley is one of the best passers in the NBA, while Gobert is an elite finisher at the rim.
Last season for the Memphis Grizzlies, Conley averaged 21.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 70 games. The lefty shot 43.8 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from beyond the arc and 84.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Gobert put up 15.9 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.3 blocks per game for the Jazz last season while shooting 66.9 percent from the floor. He also won his second straight Defensive Player of the Year Award.
Utah is a title contender for the first time in a long, long time after the moves they made this offseason. Along with acquiring Conley from Memphis, the Jazz signed Bojan Bogdanovic, Jeff Green, Ed Davis and Emmanuel Mudiay in free agency.
Conley and Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell can each score 20 points in their sleep. Gobert is expected to dominate opposing defenses in the pick-and-roll game since Conley and Mitchell attract double-teams at a high rate.
