The Utah Jazz blew a 10-point halftime lead and eventually lost to the Luka Doncic-less Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 on Monday in a rather brutal defensive performance and Stephen A. Smith is not pleased.
The ESPN analyst absolutely destroyed the Jazz for allowing Jalen Brunson to go off for 41 points while also taking a shot at Rudy Gobert for his inability to guard the perimeter:

Stephen A also claims Donovan Mitchell should throw his jersey in the trash if the Jazz loses this series and make a move elsewhere (hint: The Knicks). Interesting, to say the least. Utah was basically exposed by a small-ball Mavs lineup who were switching all night long and getting countless open looks. Per ESPN Stats and Info, 17 of their 22 triples were uncontested. That's a testament to just how poor the Jazz's perimeter coverage truly was.
Inside, Utah dominated this game. But Dallas essentially resorted to scoring from downtown, shooting a blistering 47%. Mitchell, Conley, nor anyone could keep Brunson in front of them either as he literally tore apart the Jazz. If Luka does come back in this series, it's going to be an even tougher task for Utah to beat the Mavs. And as Stephen A. said, if they do succumb to a first-round exit, there will be major changes this offseason.
