Wednesday wasn't the greatest of days for Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz. After losing a tough one in New Orleans earlier in  the week, the league's best team visited the Philadelphia 76ers to try and end the first half of their season with a win.

Unfortunately, the Jazz lost 131-123 in OT after they missed the services of Mitchell following his ejection from the game due to two technical fouls in the extra period.

Mitchell was fuming in his final minutes on the floor. The Sixers were getting calls and the Jazz weren't. One of the plays that clearly didn't sit well with the two-time All-Star was an offensive foul called on him at the 1:57 mark of OT with Philly just up by one.

Mitchell's Jazz teammate Jordan Clarkson quickly took to Twitter to side with his starting point guard. Clarkson shared the clip of Mitchell's offensive foul and explained how proud he is of his teammate despite his first-ever ejection.

The Sixers went on to score seven unanswered points which started from a Tobias Harris technical free throw. Philly's late scoring run also included another technical free throw at the expense of Mitchell's second technical foul a few plays after.

From there, everything just went from bad to worse as Utah had no more ammo to fight back against the Sixers' OT energy. The loss gives the Jazz just their second back-to-back defeats this season as they head to the All-Star break with a league-leading 27-9 record.
