The Utah Jazz can put themselves in a better position to win the Western Conference title next season if they somehow find a way to acquire Tobias Harris in free agency.
Harris will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and he is expected to draw a lot of interest in the free agent market. According to Tony Jones of The Athletic, however, the 26-year-old forward has a ‘strong interest' in signing with the Jazz.
I’ll provide the link when I get home, but Tobias indeed has a strong interest in coming to Utah https://t.co/TmGDBZCrLe

Harris would be a huge boost to Utah, who is looking to compete for the top spots and, hopefully, for the title in the loaded Western Conference. The Jazz finished with the fifth-best record in the West last season, and they will look to build on that as they enter the 2019-20 campaign.

Unfortunately, the Jazz will have to trade more players and open enough cap space to sign Harris. After trading for Mike Conley with the Memphis Grizzlies, Utah just doesn't have enough room to sign Harris who is expected to command a max contract.
Let me clarify one thing. Yes, Tobias has strong interest in the Jazz. Yes the jazz have strong interest in Tobias. Still, the Conley trade makes a marriage unlikely, financially. Very unlikely

The Jazz also have plenty of roster spots to fill after losing Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder and Grayson Allen in the Conley deal. With that said, it remains to be seen if they will indeed push through in their pursuit of Harris.
