Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell is pleading his case for Rookie of the Year even after his season and Ben Simmons' has come to an end.

The Louisville prodigy was seen liking a thread which claimed that Simmons was healthy enough to play near the end of the 2016-17 season, but chose not to.

The Sixers had little reason to play Simmons at the end of last season, already out of the playoff picture and only banking on the promise of a healthy Embiid to accompany him this 2017-18 season.

Mitchell has made the case for how Simmons is not a true rookie, and this very piece of information only helps build his case, given how he's argued that Simmons had an entire NBA season to dissect the NBA game, work out with coaches and be around professionals to help his entrance into his debut season.

The petty wars are on, and these two will likely hold on to this rivalry for a few years after the award winner is decided after the NBA Finals. Expect plenty of eye rolls and grins to follow, as the two await the results of this greatly-coveted award.
