Draymond Green was one of the four key cogs in the Golden State Warriors' rotation that could miss Monday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings, but the reigning Defensive Player of the Year got the nod to start along with sixth man Andre Iguodala, but missing the team's top two scorers in Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

The power forward noted the vast difference of being on the court without them in a narrow two-point loss to the Kings last night.

“Without those guys it's gonna get tough… tough-er,” he said. “That's 60 points (between Curry and Durant) and they draw so much attention to where the paint is a little more closed down, when they're not out there. There's just more attention of wherever the ball is, as opposed to when they're out there, wherever they are, they just kind of had their defense on their heels.”

“They were definitely missed, but we still had our chance to win the game, we just didn't make plays down the stretch.”

The Warriors sure missed the firepower, as Klay Thompson struggled, shooting 7-of-20 from the floor on a rare night where he's the No. 1 scoring option. Durant and Curry are both threats to shoot the ball as soon as they get past half-court, drawing attention from the perimeter and constant double teams due to their ability to score the ball and catch fire quickly.

Thompson's early 3-of-12 start made it easy to hone-in and stay connected to him without risking openings to Curry or Durant, who watched from the bench as the Warriors took a third loss in the last seven games.
