The Golden State Warriors were hoping to get back to their competitive ways against a struggling Los Angeles Lakers team on Wednesday night. However, the upstart Lakers managed to give the Warriors a run for their money yet again at the Staples Center.
Fortunately, Golden State's two biggest stars in Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry eventually came through in the clutch when they needed it most. Durant had high praise for Curry's overtime performance during his post-game interview on NBA TV.

The Warriors largely relied on Durant down the stretch as he finished with 29 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. However, it was Curry that wound up stealing the show in overtime.
The two-time champ had previously been struggling throughout the majority of the game. Fortunately, he made up for it by kicking off overtime with back-to-back 3-pointers. He ultimately finished with 10 of the Warriors' 18 points in the extra period.
Although it may have taken more effort than previously thought, Golden State managed to get the win nonetheless. The Warriors will have plenty of time to get their competitive edge back during their upcoming five-game road trip to the East Coast.
