Despite experiencing knee soreness after a collision early in the first quarter, Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson expects to play in Game 5 on Thursday, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge. He came back into the game after his usual rest and made two 3-pointers, playing a heavy dose of minutes throughout.
Thompson is coming off three underwhelming games this series, scoring eight, 13, and 10 points in Games 2-4 — fading into the background in a series where he's largely needed as a source of shot-making.
The Warriors sharpshooter has shot a mere 13-of-38 (34.2 percent) through those last three games, but his defense has been a constant throughout the series, making him a key asset to the starting lineup.

Thompson, along with the other three All-Stars played 39 or more minutes in Game 4, this time with a short turnaround with only one day of rest in between games, despite the back-and-forth travel between cities.
With the series tied 2-2, the Warriors will need Thompson not only healthy but firing on all cylinders to pull off yet another win on the road against the Rockets.
Golden State is already battling another key loss in Andre Iguodala, who missed Game 4 with knee soreness and could miss another one on Thursday if he isn't deemed able to go once more.
