Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson doesn't care who is on the court. He stays the same no matter what.

That sentiment has been evident ever since Stephen Curry has been out with an ankle injury. In the games that Curry has been out, Thompson has stayed the same, not saying much but leading by example, per Mark Medina of the Bay Area News Group.

“I just go out there and play my game like I do every game,” Thompson said. “I try to be myself and help the team win and just have fun. Nothing should change, regardless of who’s out there. You have to be yourself and do what got you to this point.”

In reality, Thompson doesn't need to become anything more than what he already is, even if Curry is sidelined with an injury. Being the go-to vocal leader is not his role, and that's OK for Thompson.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said as much to Medina.

“He hardly says anything, but he’s there every night. Defensively and offensively, he competes,” Kerr said. “He’s out there and he’s healthy. It’s an incredible trait to have when your teammates can count on you every single day. In practice, he’s a constant presence. That, in itself, is a form of leadership.”

So long as Thompson keeps doing what he's doing, the Warriors are fine.
