The Golden State Warriors are coming off perhaps their most impressive victory of the 2017-18 NBA season with a win on Christmas Day over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Needless to say, the Warriors have felt the holiday spirit despite the loss of superstar point guard Steph Curry to an ankle injury in early December.
However, the two-time MVP could be set to make his return very soon. According to Monte Poole of NBC Sports, Curry delivered some good news to fans outside the Warriors facility which indicated that he may suit up at some point this weekend:
As @KerithBurke and I took note of him walking out of #Warriors facility today, @StephenCurry30 raised both arms and shouted out a message to fans: 'See y'all soon.'
It's conceivable he returns this weekend.

Curry had been performing like his usual MVP-caliber self prior to the injury, averaging 26.3 points, 6.6 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. Now there is some speculation that he could return as soon as Friday night's tilt versus the Charlotte Hornets.
While news of Curry's impending return certainly comes to the delight of Warriors fans, Golden State has managed to get along just fine since he began nursing his injury. The Warriors have now won eight of their last nine games in his absence albeit the relatively easy schedule during that span.
That said, there is certainly no need to rush their superstar point guard back, especially with the ultimate goal being another championship. However, it seems Curry is intent on making a return before the end of 2017.
