The Sacramento Kings are hoping that what they’re reading from the news heading into their matchup with the Golden State Warriors on Monday ends up favoring them.
According to Mark Medina of The Mercury News, the Warriors triumvirate of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green are listed questionable for their first game of the week due to various issues.
Durant has missed the Warriors’ last two games against the Chicago Bulls and the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday and Saturday, respectively, due to an ankle injury, though he was barely needed by Golden State, which handily won both contests. Curry, meanwhile, is dealing with a bruise on his shooting hand. As for Green, the do-it-all forward is smarting a right foot contusion.
All these injuries, however, are not deemed serious, and it would not be a big surprise to anyone if all three stars would be ruled active in the showdown against the Kings.

But if there’s a game in which the Warriors can afford to rest their key players, then it could be this one against the struggling Kings, who stand directly on the other end of the spectrum with respect to Golden State’s position in the Western Conference standings.
The Warriors are second in the conference with a 15-5 record, while the Kings are second to the last with a 5-14 slate.
In the event Durant, Curry, and Green will be declared inactive, the likes of David West, Jordan Bell, Omri Casspi, and Shaun Livingston should relish significant hikes in their minutes.
