Injured Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will remain sidelined and won’t see action Wednesday when the defending NBA champions host the visiting Utah Jazz, according to Melissa Rohlin of The Mercury News.
Stephen Curry, who has been sidelined for three weeks because of a sprained right ankle, will miss Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz and will be re-evaluated again on Friday before the team hosts the Charlotte Hornets.
Curry hasn’t played in nine straight games, including Monday’s Christmas Day Finals rematch against the Cleveland Cavaliers. But with a deep roster bannered by Kevin Durant, the Warriors are able to weather Curry’s absence just fine, going 8-1 during that stretch.
Stephen Curry, who sprained his right ankle during the Warriors’ 125-115 road win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Dec. 4, has been making progress in his recovery. He’s even participated in “modified on-court scrimmage session”, per the Warriors’ official Twitter account.

According to the same report, Stephen Curry will be reevaluated on Friday, but it’s very unlikely that he’ll play against the Charlotte Hornets at Oracle Arena.
Before he was kept out of action by his ankle injury, Curry was averaging 26.3 points, 6.6 assists, and 5.1 rebounds in 23 games played.
The Warriors are 27-7 heading into the match with the Jazz.
