It's no secret that there can be double-standards for the stars in the NBA.
That appeared to really be the case today in the first quarter of the Warriors and Cavaliers Christmas Day matchup. After having already been served one technical foul early in the first quarter, Kevin Durant looked like he was going to get another, until the referee decided against it.
Take a look at the sequence:

Now, Durant probably really didn't deserve a technical here. He was frustrated and appeared to kind of walk into Jose Calderon after the foul, but he didn't do much.
From behind, the ref had a different angle and the way he blew the whistle and initially acted toward Durant made it look like another technical foul was on the way. Until the ref likely realized Durant already had one technical so he decided against it. Ultimately, Draymond Green ended up with a technical foul during the sequence while arguing a separate call.
Things have been fairly testy already in the opening minutes of this epic Christmas Day NBA Finals rematch. The game is close early and if it stays that way, it will be interesting to see how Durant and Green handle themselves if any more heated moments occur.
