Sunday's game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Washington Wizards featured another epic battle between Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, and the thriller made its way to the record books as the second-highest non-overtime game in the last 25 seasons.

The 149-146 Wizards victory combined for a whopping 295 points. Safe to say that defense was not a priority for both teams.

The Nets actually led the game for as much as 18 points. They shot the ball extremely well with a 56.8 percent clip from the field and 52.8 percent from 3-point territory.

Despite an offensive showing from the Nets, the Wizards—arguably the underdog in the matchup—stayed close. They shot 51.9 percent and pounded Brooklyn in the paint by scoring 72 points. It didn't help that Steve Nash's team turned the ball over 17 times.

The Wizards reached an offensive peak in the fourth quarter where they scored a total of 48 points.

Russell Westbrook dropped a game-high 41 points, along with 10 rebounds and eight assists. The game would've been a reunion of the former Oklahoma City Thunder trio with Kevin Durant and James Harden, but the latter had to sit out due to a thigh contusion.

It's worth noting that fans have been wanting to see a second version of the trio after Harden was traded to the Nets. Since Irving had missed several games due to off-court issues, many fans offered that an Irving-Westbrook swap would be the cure to this uncertainty.

Be as it may, Sunday's game—despite the lack of defense—offered a good dose of entertainment.
