The Washington Wizards are putting the full-court press on former Thunder coach, Scott Brooks.
Both the Wizards and the Houston Rockets have emerged as the top candidates for Brooks' services, even though he apparently expressed interest in possibly coaching the Lakers.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, general manager Ernie Grunfeld of the Wizards met with Brooks in Southern California on Wednesday and offered him the head coaching position. His sources indicate that the deal is somewhere in the $7 million per year range.

At this point, Houston can only hope that he'll wait to hear them out after they're eliminated. The way things are going in their series with the Warriors, that could be quite soon.
In his seven seasons with the Thunder, Brooks went 338-207, reaching the NBA Finals in 2012.
Jeff Van Gundy is also a front runner for the spot in Houston, which could play a big role in whether or not Brooks steps into the position in the nation's capital sooner rather than later.
