Remember the time when the Washington Wizards were the laughingstock of the 2020-21 NBA Season? Well, look who's laughing now.

The Wizards, led by Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, have been on an unbelievable roll these past few weeks. On Sunday, the two once again spearheaded the DC-based squad to another impressive win at home, this time against the Cleveland Cavaliers to give the Wizards their eight-straight win. A stretch this hot is something the franchise hasn't seen for quite some time now (via Vivek Jacob of CBC Sports).

Take a bow, Wizards Nation.

Beal erupted for his 31st 30+ point game this season with a game-high of 33 while his co-pilot in Westbrook cooled off a bit from all his triple-doubles with a 14-5-11 stat line. More importantly, the Wizards have now propelled themselves firmly into the 10th spot in the East which puts them in the running for at least a spot in the play-in tournament.

If they do end up pulling this off and end this incredible season with a shot at the playoffs, the Wizards will be one of the scariest teams to face in that make-or-break play-in tournament. Washington has been on a red-hot pace and it seems that this unit is peaking at the right time.

Beal has been the league's leading scorer for almost the entire season and is on pace to grab his first scoring title before the regular season ends. On the other hand, the first-year Wizard in Westbrook has brought his A-game to DC and leads the league in assists.

I guess it's safe to say that Washington has found their Batman and Robin.
