Speaking to reporters for the first time since he slipped and fell at home, which resulted in a torn left Achilles, Washington Wizards All-Star point guard John Wall said he's in great spirits and motivated to prove all the doubters wrong.

Wall says he has a great support system around him which is going to help him get through this long rehab process. The explosive guard also says all the people who were praising him when he was playing well, are the same people who are saying he won't be good anymore.

John Wall played in 32 games this season for the Wizards. The five-time All-Star averaged 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 30.2 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

There's a chance Wall could miss the entire 2019-20 season. Achilles injuries are said to be the hardest setbacks to come back from. Wall, though, has a tremendous work ethic and it's clear as day he is hungry to shut all the critics up who are saying he won't be an impact player in the NBA anymore.

The Wizards have Wall's back and are going to support him through this rehab process. That's a huge relief for Wall.
