Dwight Howard signed a two-year, $10.9 million free agent deal with the Wizards last summer after spending the 2017-18 season with the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets traded Howard to the Brooklyn Nets, and then the Nets reached a buyout agreement with the former All-NBA big man.

The Wizards enter Wednesday with a record of 21-29, 10th place in the Western Conference standings. It is unclear if Dwight Howard is going to play again this season, but it looks like Washington is going to keep the door open for Howard.
Thomas Bryant has been starting for Howard. The 21-year-old is putting up 9.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists and shooting 65.2 percent from the floor and 81.4 percent from the free-throw line.
