The SEC Tournament has turned out to be an exciting tournament for college basketball fans. One of the biggest stories of the tournament were the Texas A&M Aggies. Behind a suffocating defense, the eighth-seeded Aggies won three straight upset games in the tournament. Their latest victim was the fourth-seeded Arkansas Razorback, who were knocked out in the semi-final round.

After the game, Arkansas coach Eric Musselman talked about their lackluster showing against Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament semi-finals. The Razorbacks coach admitted that he and the team were thoroughly outplayed by their opponent. He also pointed out that their star scorer, JD Notae, felt a bit off today. (via ESPN)

“I think JD, obviously the foul trouble was problematic. It wasn’t just offense. I can’t remember JD’s defense like that since we’ve been together,” Musselman said. “So it was both sides of the basketball, to be honest with you.”

Indeed, Notae's performance was uncharacteristically bad. The Razorbacks guard has been having an excellent SEC Tournament thus far, being the team's leading scorer. However, against the Aggies defense, Notae struggled mightily, scoring only five points on abysmal shooting. His foul troubles also didn't help his cause.

As for the Aggies, they weren't pegged to be serious contenders prior to the SEC Tournament. However, should they win their Finals matchup against the second-seeded Tennessee Volunteers, they could punch their spot in the field of 68 for the upcoming March Madness. It will be a tough matchup, though, as Tennessee has been beating their fair share of tough opponents.
