The Alabama Crimson Tide were shocked on Saturday, getting upset by the LSU Tigers in overtime. On Monday, head coach Nick Saban was asked about quarterback Bryce Young and his health after the loss.

Via Charlie Potter:

“Saban on how Bryce Young felt before/after the LSU game: “All indications in terms of what he says to us, to me, to the medical staff is he feels fine.”

Young suffered a shoulder injury on October 1st against Arkansas and missed one game as a result. He returned for a massive SEC clash with Tennessee on October 15th and played well, but Alabama football lost a thriller.

On Saturday against LSU, Young struggled though, completing just 25 of his 51 passes for 328 yards and only one touchdown. He was also sacked twice. But as Saban said, there are no indications that he's dealing with any ailments.

The shoulder problem can be thrown out the window. Young just failed to produce the goods and it puts the Tide in a tough spot in regards to the CFP Playoff. They're almost certainly out of contention now, which is practically unheard of for one of the most dominant programs in the country over the past years and a finalist in 2022, losing to Georgia in the National Championship.

It doesn't get any easier for Bama, either. They face the 8-1 Ole Miss Rebels in Week 11, who just had a bye week. Bryce Young will be hoping to bounce back and lead his squad to a statement win on the road in a tough atmosphere in Oxford.
