Arguably the biggest rivalry in all of sports is between the Michigan football team and the Ohio State football team. The past decade has produced a lot of good moments in the rivalry as both teams have been good. The Buckeyes dominated the early years of the Jim Harbaugh era, but the Wolverines have been in control since they last lost in 2019. Both teams are expected to be very good yet again next season, and the smack talk is alive and well during the offseason.

Both Michigan football and Ohio State football are expected to have great defensive lines next season. They are both expected to be two of the best, and On3 recently posted a graphic of Jesse Simonton's top DL/EDGE units in college football for 2024, and here is what he came up with:

  1. Ohio State
  2. Michigan
  3. Georgia
  4. Oregon
  5. Clemson
  6. Ole Miss
  7. Notre Dame
  8. Florida State
  9. Tennessee
  10. Penn State

Michigan football star Mason Graham saw the post, and he wasn't too happy to see the Buckeyes ranked ahead of the Wolverines. Being the second best DL unit in college football is nothing to be ashamed of, but Graham and Michigan want to be the best.

Graham had something to say about the rankings as he responded to the tweet with a mind-blown emoji and a laughing face emoji. He is sending a message to Ohio State that he thinks his unit is better than theirs. That matchup can't come soon enough.

Mason Graham has been an absolute stud so far in his career with the Michigan football team, and he is arguably the best defensive lineman in college football right now. He is going to be an early first-round pick in the NFL Draft next season barring something unexpected, and he has a good chance of being the first d-lineman off the board.

As a true freshman, Graham racked up 27 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. He was an absolute force in his first college football season, and he was immediately a difference maker on defense.

Last season was a big one for Graham. He finished the year with 35 total tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble. He also made one of the biggest plays of Michigan's season in overtime against Alabama in the Rose Bowl. The Crimson Tide had a second and goal in OT while trailing by seven, and they needed a touchdown to tie the game. Graham burst into the backfield and tackled the Alabama running back for a four-yard loss, setting up a third and goal from the 13. The Crimson Tide ended up turning the ball over on downs, and Michigan won the game.

Mason Graham is a star, and he will be out to prove a point when Michigan football plays Ohio State football next season.
