Michigan football's Jim Harbaugh is under some heat after an investigation into sign stealing was announced, and Nebraska's Matt Rhule said that players should have a microphone in the helmet, which drew an endorsement from Aaron Rodgers.

“I saw what Matt Rhule said and I agree completely,” Aaron Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show. “Between 2005 and 2008 there committee that would talk every single year about putting the microphone in the helmet, and I'm not going to name names on coaches, but there was one long-tenured head coach who was also an offensive guy who would give a dissertation about why it's way too big of a competitive advantage to have a microphone in the defensive side. And he was able to beat it back until my first year starting, which was 2008, when they said, ‘you know what, the hell with that. Let's just avoid all this sign stealing that's going on. Let's even things up. Let's put a microphone in a defensive headset.' So I don't see why they don't do it. College football is basically professional football. Also guys getting paid. Free agency is way better down there. And I think, let's just do away with any of these silly issues.”

The investigation into Michigan football and Jim Harbaugh will be interesting to monitor. It seems that Matt Rhule and the Nebraska football program is not worrying about it too much, and Rodgers believes that there is an easy change to be made to make the college game better.
