The Philadelphia 76ers just couldn’t get their three young centers all healthy at the same time – at least for now.

According to coach Brett Brown, Nerlens Noel’s strained right groin doesn’t project to be fully healed in time for their October 26 season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

It’s no secret that the Sixers are looking to move one of their three former lottery big men. With Joel Embiid looking better each game, the decision would most likely be between Noel and Jahlil Okafor in a classic offense versus defense choice.

His importance to the team is hard to ignore, especially on the defensive end, after averaging 1.5 blocks in 29 minutes per game to along with his 11.1 points and 8.1 rebounds last season.

Nerlens Noel joins this year’s top overall pick Ben Simmons on the injured list.
