The Brooklyn Nets have pretty much accepted that they're going to be in the play-in tournament. But as it stands right now, the Nets will need to win two games in order to advance to the postseason.

Despite Kevin Durant erupting for 55 points on Saturday, Brooklyn still lost to the Atlanta Hawks in a crucial game in regards to their spot for the play-in. Steve Nash's squad continues to be without a key piece of their offense however in sharpshooter Seth Curry, who is battling an ankle injury. With the season quickly winding down, the Nets are seriously considering just shutting down Curry for the final four games of the campaign.

Honestly, this could make sense. Curry has been lights out for the Nets since coming over from the Philadelphia 76ers in the James Harden trade, averaging 15.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 17 games. He's also shooting a stellar 47% from three-point range.

The veteran guard has only missed one contest recently due to the injury, but there is no reason to try and rush him back because he has been dealing with soreness for a few weeks now. Curry is going to be a crucial part of their offense if they manage to make a playoff run.

As Nash also said, this injury is something Curry will have to deal with until the offseason. Via David Early of ClutchPoints:

It's the time of the year when so many players are banged up and Seth Curry is just another. Let's hope he can still contribute at a high level when he does suit up.
