There's been a lot of controversy surrounding the MVP and Rookie of the Year awards this season. Brooklyn Nets All-Star D'Angelo Russell has a solution though.

Both award races are down to two men — and no one is budging. For MVP, James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo have both made fantastic arguments. Meanwhile, ROY was headlined by Luka Doncic for a long time, but Trae Young is proving just as deserving.

Harden is putting up historic numbers, scoring at will. He's averaging 36.4 points per game and has more 50-plus point games (9) than games with fewer than 25 points (8) this season.

Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists a game. He's lead the Milwaukee Bucks to the best record in the NBA despite not having much star power around him.

For the rookie race, Doncic has looked like a seasoned veteran all year long. He's piled up triple-doubles and always finds a way to contribute in games.

Young hasn't been the most efficient shooter this year. He has improved though and has shown that he is an excellent passer. The point guard is averaging 19.0 points and 7.9 assists per game on the season.

Things got even tighter in the ROY race when Young hit a game-winning buzzer beater for the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, which likely what prompted the Nets guard to make his opinion on Twitter.

D'Angelo Russell has a point, as all four are extremely deserving of the awards. This is the case in most seasons too, especially when there's usually a solid argument for more than just one player to win a certain award.

It's hard to envision either award, let alone both, ending in a tie in the same season though. Come the summer, we'll probably have definitive SOLO answers.
