James Harden has helped the Houston Rockets reach the playoffs in every season since coming over from the Oklahoma City Thunder. Getting traded to the Brooklyn Nets is the best chance for Harden to compete for a championship. Here is what Nets general manager Sean Marks had to say on the recent acquisition of Harden, via The Athletic:

“When you have the opportunity to add James Harden to your roster, you do everything you can to make that happen,” Marks said. When asked about his conversation with Harden he noted, “All I heard from James is, ‘I want to win.'”

“I want to win” is proof enough for the Nets that Harden will give it his all while in Brooklyn. When paired up with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, the Nets are one of the most dangerous teams in the league. Though the Nets have to sort out the Irving situation, Harden will be focused on adapting to head coach Steve Nash's playing style and playing with his former teammate: Durant.

With DeAndre Jordan and Jeff Green protecting the paint as well as grabbing rebounds, especially with the team struggling with boards earlier in the season, and sharpshooter Joe Harris on the wing, this team has the potential to do something special this season.

Harden will make the most out of his time in Brooklyn, as teaming up with Durant will bring back old memories of his time in Oklahoma City. However, this time, Harden is not the sixth man. Bringing home the scoring titles in the last three seasons, Harden will continue to let it fly while in a Nets uniform.
