Brooklyn Nets center Jarrett Allen has some advice for Caris LeVert after the latter signed a three-year, $52 million extension a couple of days ago.

The Nets have decided to lock LeVert for three years after his impressive performance last season, where he averaged 13.7 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 40 games for Brooklyn. Although the 25-year-old forward was riddled with injuries, he was highly regarded as an important piece of the franchise's future, and his extension just proves the Nets' trust and confidence in his talent.

Before the Nets signed All-Stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving last month, there was already a consensus around the league that they have one of the brightest futures in the NBA. LeVert, Allen, Spencer Dinwiddie, and D'Angelo Russell formed Brooklyn's talented young core, and they all played a key role in helping the team make the playoffs as the sixth seed last season.

Despite Russell's trade to the Golden State Warriors, the Nets still have three of their youngsters, and with Dinwiddie and LeVert already committing long-term to the team, Brooklyn will now look to give Allen his own contract extension.

Now, the Nets are poised to compete for championships in the near future. Even without KD, who is expected to miss the entire season while recovering from his Achilles injury, the team has enough talent to compete for a playoff spot. While most of next season's spotlight will be on Kyrie, do not be surprised if the younger guys on the team decide to step up and take their game to a whole new level.

Especially LeVert.
