The Brooklyn Nets' Big Three were just broken up following the James Harden trade, but they've now added some more backcourt depth. Goran Dragic, who was just bought out by the San Antonio Spurs, has decided to sign with the Nets.

This is a very solid addition for the Nets, who have been struggling lately in the wake of Kevin Durant's knee injury and Kyrie Irving's part-time status. Dragic was previously included in the sign-and-trade for Kyle Lowry last summer with the Miami Heat but Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse essentially vetoed him out of the rotation. Dragic was then traded to the Spurs at the deadline for Thaddeus Young.

The Nets did get some nice pieces from the Philadelphia 76ers in Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond, but it's unknown when Simmons will actually suit up. With just 23 games left and KD still on the shelf, the Nets need more scoring and playmaking in a hurry given their mediocre 31-28 record. The 35-year-old Dragic was garnering interest from a number of different contenders, including the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Chicago Bulls.

While Dragic hasn't played much this season, the veteran brings tons of experience to the table. He also reunites with his former Phoenix Suns teammate Steve Nash. Dragic should step in and have a significant role from day one for the Nets. Let's hope he can contribute at a high level and help the team shoot up in the Eastern Conference ahead of the postseason.
