There have been new reports that James Harden and the Brooklyn Nets will not reach an agreement to keep him in Brooklyn during the offseason.

It's possible that Harden does decide to move in a different direction because the Nets haven't played as well as he had hoped. He is also in a different environment than he had been in for the majority of his career, which has resulted in some lower numbers.

With the current reports that he is leaving the Nets, many people have speculated that he could play for a team like the Philadelphia 76ers. Marc Stein had this to say about the Nets' star and the recent reports,

“Yet it must be noted that there is enough noise circulating leaguewide about Harden's reported openness to relocation this summer — after he turned down a lucrative extension from the Nets in October — to give Morey the encouragement he needs to wait.”

If the Sixers decide to pursue Harden, it would make sense, but luring him away from the Nets would be difficult. When everyone on the Nets is healthy, they are a squad capable of winning an NBA title, something Harden clearly desired when he joined the organization.

With his name circulating, the offseason will be exciting, and if the Sixers can claim James Harden, it will be a perfect fit.
