Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie feels like he embraced his inner Stephen Curry in Wednesday night's 127-114 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Dinwiddie racked up a career-high 39 points against the Sixers, going 11-of-18 from the floor, 4-of-8 from 3-point range, and an impressive 13 of 14 from the free-throw line.

Those outstanding numbers helped Dinwiddie lead the Nets to their third straight win, which is a major step in the right direction after losing eight in a row.

But he was clearly focused on the positives after the game against Philly, and that included feeling like a certain three-time NBA champion when he got hot down the stretch in leading the Nets to victory.

From Yaron Weitzman of Bleacher Report:

Spencer Dinwiddie on getting hot from deep: “If I had two 3s in a row I feel like Steph [Curry]. I had a couple 3s, boy I tell you I feel like I was 6-foot-3 and light skin. I wasn’t about to stop shooting after that.”

While Dinwiddie still has some work to do to reach Curry's level, it was undoubtedly a superb outing for him against the Sixers in what was a great win.

And again, it added even more momentum for a Nets team that needed a jumpstart after the struggles over the past several weeks.

If Dinwiddie wants to really become a poor man's Curry, he'll need to keep things rolling when Brooklyn returns to the court Friday for a three-game home stand against the Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, and Los Angeles Lakers.
