Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash didn't like what he saw from his team in their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, per New York Daily News‘ Kristian Winfield. The Nets recently came out with a dismal performance to lose against the Thunder as they suffered their sixth loss of the season.

The Nets were hitting their shots to begin the game as they finished with 41 points to end the first quarter, as opposed to the Thunder's 29. Brooklyn seemed to have taken their foot off the pedal as opposing swingman Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder's fightback with a huge performance in the third frame.

Oklahoma eventually executed their plays better and found the bottom of the net in the fourth quarter as they notched a 129-116 victory against the Nets. Gilgeous-Alexander topped his team in scoring with 31 points, six rebounds, and seven assists while Hamidou Diallo broke out with 25 points of his own.

On the other hand, Kevin Durant led his squad with 36 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists followed by Caris Levert who contributed 21 points and six assists. The Nets were without Kyrie Irving who sat out his third consecutive game due to personal reasons.

After the loss, Brooklyn dropped to a 5-6 record to sit at 10th place in the Eastern Conference while the Thunder improved to a 5-4 tally for the eighth spot in the Western Conference.

Head coach Steve Nash is hoping that his team will come out with a better effort on the floor as they aim to halt their two-game losing skid against the Denver Nuggets on Jan 12.
